I want to purchase this solid 18k constellation.

Can you give me your thoughts on it’s authenticity please?

Thank

Hi Jordan - First, what are your thoughts? This is a decent amount of $$ so I imagine you’ve done some research yourself?

Is there a photo of the inside of the case back?

People who consider SS clasps on gold watches ok always raise my scepticism. 😁

Oh don’t I totally agree with the stainless clasp.

I mean I have a SS C Constellation and this watch really doesn’t have any alarms ringing for me however I’m never sure.

I don’t have a picture of the case back however I have asked the seller to provide one.

It’s £2350 which I suppose is fair reasonable considering it’s fairly immaculate condition.

I was going to ask the same.
dial says it is OM (solid gold) but I don’t see any hallmarks on the back of the lugs.
there is some inconsistency in medallion style but I would have expected a non-brick observatory on a gold c-case.

I would be wary of this watch. The “C” case models generally did not have brick work on solid 18K cases. We would need to see inside of caseback to confirm.

The “OM” marking on the dial looks correct to me.

The price is reasonable if it all checks out, but confirmation is impossible given the missing information noted here.

Here is the case back.

As I thought, it’s a British hallmark.

very interesting
Don’t think I’ve seen a Schackman gold C-case before.
this explains a lot

Interesting, that would explain the lack of hallmarks on the main case.

So are you fairly sure this is legit?

I might sound like a newbie here but I really just want to pull the trigger

The hallmark looks legitimate, but I have never seen a C case with a UK hallmark like that.

The observatory is different than Swiss cases 18K Constellations for that era.

I would try to find a similar watch before pulling the trigger. “Unique” is not necessary a good thing with goods that were mass produced.
