Hi guys, I am just starting to get some interest in vintage Seiko.
In particular, I like very much ref. 6139-601x, especially with yellow dial.
So I'm asking what do you experts think about this one (for sale on Ch24).
Thanks a lot for your opinions.

It’s a really bad photo. Instead of a screenshot, try to save the image.

I bought a 6139 6012 a number of years ago (black dial) and unfortunately, the dial’s lacquer peeled during service. I am about to tear into it and change out the dial. These are cool watches but are quite thick.

I am not really too familiar with these Bruce-Lee references but you should really do some research because many many many of them have none-original aftermarket parts. If original they are really good value and beautiful watches pretty much all of the 6139 family.

Prices of these seem to be all over the place. Any thoughts on decent ranges to look for (condition has alot to do with it I'm sure)

If you go for one, make sure it has a good original bracelet. The round case and deep lugs mean that it can be really hard to get a good strap match for it.

Chrono24 doesn't make it particularly easy to grab hi-res photos from their listings, but here's the OP watch:

Looking for £428 which feels a bit punchy to me.

Looks like there is a mark on the dial by 4 oclock, though it could be a reflection on teh crystal

Value wise, these are all over the place - the long indices and different colour schemes of the later watches are less desirable than the fatter hands/ squarer indices of the early 6010 / 6011 and 6012 watches that are most associated with Bruce Lee.

I'd say blue 70M PROOF should be in the £500-600 region, black PROOF maybe £100 more and brown PROOFs are top of the tree at £1k+.
Blue and black 70M RESIST 6012s are maybe £100 less than the PROOF ones.

Check out FS - Seiko 6139-6017 Automatic Chronograph Blue Bruce Lee" 1970 Reduced $450 | Omega Forums - if you want a bracelet then you'd need to add another $100-150 to find a good one on eBay, but $450 is a great price.
