Lume on the dial could be a bit cleaner but the watch looks very good otherwise, congrats!

Been looking at the lume, is there much success in trying to get the original lume cleaned by a specialist or just leave as is for fear of it crumbling?

First is the lume in the central seconds hand is a different colour to the rest of the lume, suggesting it could be a service part or a re-lume? Second is that it has a modern service crown.

IMO we see a 24 teeth flat foot crown which is correct for that reference

Lume on the hands looks the same to me, I see no differences between the hands.
Another question would be that the hands -as pointed out by @321Only - look unusal white

I took some close ups today of the hands, yes they look white but under magnification the lume is similar to the hour indices and there is age/corrosion on the hands.

I'd be more vary of a watch with perfectly matching lume on the dial and hands. Most one owner watches I've seen have hands that have aged slightly differently to the dial.

My dirty lume ed white says hi! Can i ask how much the bracelet service cost? I am located in hong kong and was planning to go visit michael young

The owner before me had it refurbished and I think it was in the region of £250 (GDP) but I recently got a quote for another vintage Speedy bracelet - a 1175, living in the UK postage does hit the overall cost so living in HK should see you get it at a reasonable price.

Here was the response email -

Yes we can restore your band.

The price for Omega band restoration, excluding parts and additional repair, is USD250, plus return EMS/Fedex postage USD45^ and (optional insurance for 2% of desired insured value). PAYMENT via PayPal when done to [email protected] in approx. 4-6 weeks. But this is just a general approximation, we are a small workshop and have little man power, so please be a little patient since sometimes it takes longer.

The price of the additional repair can be provided after we inspect the band and determine the work that is required.

Please send ONLY the band with a note on your restoration requirements* and insured to:
