Need some much larger photos of the dial but generally the watch appears genuine. Since much of the value of a vintage watch is in the originality of the dial being able to see it clearly is vitally important.

Have you Googled the reference number yourself?

Check eBay SOLD listings for value.

Hey thanks for the reply. Just added a clearer photo of the dial. As for the reference and previous history, I can only seem to find models with different dials and not ones that perfectly match this one. This is really the only example of a match.

Dial looks OK, grey linen pattern is a known variant for this reference.

I was easily able to find several using Google.

Any price range you'd aim for? Also im seeing a few with omega logos on the caseback but not sure if that's a different year.

Just gather prices from reasonably similar comps. Condition matters much more than date or no date. I don’t think the price I would aim for is relevant for you. I’d only consider that watch at a bargain price. You may very likely be willing to pay more. What is the asking price? We can at least tell you if it’s in the right ballpark.

Haha I appreciate the honest response. I am in the market for a de ville as I am a really big fan of the overall design. Listed price is 890 cad (650 usd), but am planning on negotiating to approx 800 cad (if possible but I believe!) (585usd). It would be all local so no shipping.

I don't see this as more than $400-$450 max USD and the dial would have to be near perfect at that price.

Ok great, thank you! Any comps you are basing that off of? I don't see any direct past sales apart from the one I linked earlier

When you follow the sales of thousands of watches every year, you get pretty well calibrated for common references. However, if you love the watch, it’s a convenient buy, and you won’t mind losing money when you sell it, don’t let us stop you. A few hundred dollars isn’t lifechanging.

TBH, my bigger concern is the dial. It can be ok to overpay for a great example, but you do t won’t to overpay for a watch with significant flaws.
