Hi OF
After some opinions on this 1978 Rolex GMT 1675 I’ve been kindly offered. It was serviced by Rolex about 10 years ago and hardly worn since.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated as always 👍

The case looks strong and the chamfers seems to come from the factory.

Patina is eggshell white which could be due to previous owners' heavy wearing. Which is fine to me.

Do you know the serial number? So that we can help you to check if the dial and case are matched.

Firstly…I would like to see much sharper hi res macro imagery…without any of the hands intruding onto the text ?

Can you obtain images with a more ‘ambient’, ( evenly balanced ), light…rather than a ‘specular’ light source ?…the directional light, is affecting the colour temperature / overall exposure

From the existing images…The patina is paler, than I, personally, would trust, from a, ( original dial & hands ), ‘78

Have you seen the paperwork from the ‘Rolex Service’ ?…what is listed as replaced ?

If the Owner is claiming an ‘Official’ Service...but has failed to retain this crucial documentation…that’s a ‘Red Flag’ for me

Pretty sure, the lugs have seen a ( Rolex ? ) polishing wheel…can tell more with images, of the back of the watch ?

Any clear ‘90 degree’ images of the Crown Guards ?…always an indicator

What is the serial code on the bracelet clasp ?

Have you held this in your hand yet ?
