Thank you! Much appreciated and let’s see what other experts say.
I think you're expecting a definitive answer and no-one can give that with watches of this era but, look at the post count of the people who've commented and you'll see you've got responses from some highly regarded members
Good luck, Chris
It may not be so, but do you find the combination particularly attractive, @hegner?
Yes, I find it attractive but since I’m not a collector I would have the dial and hands refinished to look more atractive to me. My main concern is if the movement is really fine as advertised and watch authentic.
Most that's worth saying has already been said, but I would stress that it really is difficult to say with certainty if a watch is correct or not. In my opinion there is a discrepancy between the dial and the case. While @gatorcpa has a point that dials age differently from cases, this one looks to my like the dial furniture is rose gold and that clashes massively with the yellow gold case. If I were to make a snap judgement, I'd say that the dial and movement has come from a worn out rose gold capped watch and has been transplanted into a yellow gold case.
I don't get it. If the plan is to refinish the watch what difference does it make what it looks like now? 😕
Most, if not all, collectors here would not refinish a watch face/hands.
I just wanted to know if it’s a true Omega 100% original as seller says.
Well, I’m not a collector and I think I could not stand that patina and so. Unfortunately, new Omegas don’t look attractive to me.
