Hello, this watch is selling here in Brazil for about U$ 400.00. I’m no expert so would like to know if it’s redialed, movement seems ok, case etc. Seller says it’s been serviced and all original but I’m not
Thank you very much in advance.

At first glance (with a drink inside me) looks good. Hands look too long tho. Let the floodgates open...

Not sure but I smell a redial-- the Seamaster logo seems a little close to the AUTOMATIC text. Also, the indices look polished?

Well, I don't mind if indices are polished but I wonder if dial is true original as seller says...

Certainly an interesting color combo - rose gold/brass and yellow gold? I am no expert on dial fonts, but it looks fine to me. Looking at the minute markers, nothing seems out of place.

I would expect the movement to be cleaner if it was just serviced though. Looks a bit oily and dirty in the picture, plus I would be curious about the gasket in the case back picture - seems to be a bit loose.

I would personally stay away from this one. Few hundred more and you can have a nice steel Seamaster from this era.

That is a cop out. Say why and show your working.

Oh, my working is above  I suspect a redial from polished indices and incorrect text positioning. Also, the swiss made text looks to be in the wrong font. (Case is also overpolished).

But this is just my best guess from my little knowledge.

Ahh yes. I am sorry. You did indeed give good reasoning in your earlier and strangely your first post. I personally think the dial is on balance OK but I don't like the hands at all and as intelligently pointed out above by WYO, rose gold furniture and a gold case is odd so this may be a dial, hands and case from 3 separate watches.

Ah I see. Yes I have been a long time lurker (2 years) of OF. Not an ideal way to make my first post haha.

I can see it being a fraken. So the dial, from wherever it came from, is actually untouched?

This combination of rose gold and yellow gold would certainly be my concern.
I would stay away and look for something else.

That's the issue...seller says it's 100% original but I'm afraid as you said that is not.

Thank you all for the words!
So the conclusion is: not 100% original :(

No doubt a frankenwatch. Beautiful dial though...

    I don't think it's a franken or a redial.

Look more closely and the numerals, more often than not they actually appear yellow not rose, it's likely just how they are picking up light in the photos. Dials tend to age whereas cases do not.

No lume dial no lume hands, they look fine as well.

Dagger indexes are just fine, they are never super sharp on these dials since they are not applied, but part of the dial surface instead. Also the outline on the mirror numerals appears to be crisp with complete infill.

Plenty of documented variations of text placement depending on who made the dial.
