Hi everyone,

I really appreciate all the expertise on this forum and hope you could give me your opinion on this 145022- 69 ST?

Does everything look original and what would you say is a fair price for this watch?

It's serial number is 29xxx according to the seller.

IMHO, looks like a nice looking watch.

I find the combo dial / hands quite attractive. The bezel is quite damaged to retain a collector’s value, but who cares for a daily beater !

What could be more of concern is the case, with those pics we can’t say a lot. And pics of movement would also be welcome 😀

Really nice looking. That bracelet will definitely add a lot to the price.

As others have said it looks pretty good from the photos. The photos are very bad though and the dark and underexposed so heard to really tell much about the dial. Parts look original but as mentioned the DON90 bezel is looking a bit tired and the bracelet and case are showing quite a lot of wear but again hard to tell from the underexposed photos.

It would likely date to late 1970 and a good resource for pricing.

145.022-69DO90
  • Poor - $3,000
  • Fair - $4,500
  • Good - $7000
  • Very Good - $9,000
  • Excellent - $13,500

Thank you. So somewhere between fair and good in value in your opinion?

Best regards

well with the bracelet I think you add quite a lot of value. You could sell the bracelet and end links for about $1500-1700 alone, so you are more in the good-very good.

The dial looks nice and attractive but again better photos would be a great help. If you could get if for around $7000 you would do very well I would think.

I really like this watch, looks like it is in original condition and all parts visible are period correct.

The first thing that is striking is the attractiveness of the dial and matching handset. The raised dial is beautiful and the tritium markers have developed beautiful patina. Hands have aged perfectly to match the dial.

The case also looks good as it still has razor sharp edges. This suggests it has never seen a polishing wheel in its 50+ yr life. More pics of the sides would confirm this.

The 1039 bracelet with correct date stamp further reinforces the originality and adds quite a bit of vale to this watch.

the bezel completes the watch for me. Again, it fits the watch perfectly and tells the story quite nicely. In terms of condition, it detracts from valuation quite a bit as DONs are very expensive.

in terms of overall valuation, to my eyes this is a good condition watch. If you use the table above, it suggests $7K + $1.3K for bracelet for total valuation of $8.3K. Having said that, the market is a bit soft at the moment, so somewhere between $7-8K would be appropriate imho.

Keep in mind it might also need service which will run you around $500.

Good luck.

Having sold a couple of these recently, I agree with Alex, assuming you are buying from a private seller. If you end up finding that the bezel is too much of an eyesore, the rest of the watch is good enough to support an upgrade.

Great, original honest watch. Reminds me to get busy installing the links I sourced years ago to my 1039. Mine says high….
