"Oh you bought another watch?"
"Maybe....I thought it would look good on you"
"No. But these shoes do....."

(Substitute shoes for Handbag/dress/kitchen as required depending on what watch it was)

Amen. She probably actually loves it when I buy another watch because she knows it gives her free reign to treat herself to something as well! I'm onto her now...always was surprised at how supportive of this addiction she's been.

Nice acquisition, congratulations. What's the military provenance of the piece if you dont mind me asking.

I guess that refers to the LT MC USN (Lieutenant Medical Corps US Navy) on the guarantee card (so not an issued watch, but a purchase by a member of the military)

Correct, sorry if the initial description painted it as a military-issued watch. I just meant that an active serviceman purchased it.

Really beautiful. Congratulations.

Completely agree about the engraving adding a little extra here, especially with the paperwork.

I'm more impressed with the caseback than the dial; that Seamonster looks freshly engraved.

It's in such great shape that I almost feel like it should be the least worn in my rotation. But then I put it on the wrist and think it should be the only one that I wear. Decisions, decisions.

Wow, really stunning condition. The Lieutenant must have kept it it safely away from any military operation...
Fantastic find. It's so much better just to own less pieces in great condition than many in in "running condition" (speedmaster101).

Yeah, I guess if it got any blood spatters, he cleaned them off (thankfully)!

Agree 100% on quality over quantity. I generally try to do a ton of research up front on certain brands/references that I like and then just wait patiently until something presents itself. Definitely have to kiss a lot of frogs (and spend wayyyyy too much time on forums and auction sites), but it's all worth it once you find that special one.

Where is the NATO from? B&S?

Thanks
I'm not sure, actually. It came with a Tudor Sub that I purchased last year and doesn't have any branding on it.

Keep the faith! They're out there just waiting to be discovered.
