One year anniversary

Today marks one year of owning my Seamaster Diver 300m. It has been running continuously with and average rate of +0.1 spd! Ridiculously accurate and I’ve only had to set the time twice and that was for daylight savings. Always crown side up when not wearing.
It has been a good year of water sports to camping and some traveling. Had it on a couple of blue NATOs in the summer and bracelet in the cold months. Looking forward to many more years of enjoyment. My goal is to keep it running continuously for the next 4 years before my warranty runs out and then having it serviced. Have more big trips planned for the year so we’ll see how it holds up. Craziest thing I did with it was wake boarding. The impacts into the water made me a little nervous. Haven’t had the guts to wear it while cycling or skateboarding.. yet
Now some wrist shots:

Congratulations on what looks like a busy enjoyable year.
I think the watch looks brilliant on the NATO, ever tried it on leather with a deployment for when work gets in the
Way of social life?
Omega do some great blue leather straps.

Thanks. I haven’t really worn it to work believe it or not. I use a Mac Book Pro which is made of anondized aluminum which some of you know is harder than steel and scratches the heck out of the clasp. I have been considering a brown leather strap though.
One thing I have to say is that the side of the watch case is unfinished and is glaring when using a NATO or any other strap. I was a bit surprised at this. I was hoping to get the Omega rubber strap which runs right up to the case.

These things are growing on me. I've been wanting something blue dial blue bezel and there is nothing really out there that I like.
But the more I see these......
Hmm.

Probably one of the most stunning things about this watch is how the blue dial color changes depending on the ambient lighting. From an almost whimsical bright blue in direct sunlight to a deep navy blue indoors... Not sure if the black or grey variant can do this.

When it’s blazing sunlight and it’s actually showing you its blue as well as reflecting a brilliant blue sky...

I just got my first luxury watch as a late Valentines day gift to myself.

Being single has its perks sometimes.
