Dreadful news ... and while there's obviously never a good time for this kind of event, the holiday season is especially awful for his loved ones. So very sorry to hear, but I appreciate your willingness to share with us. We are a community in good times and bad. May his family find comfort.

A terrible tragedy. Given that there is so much brazen and senseless violence in this world, one is forced to consider how we are managing to produce so many individuals who possess so little regard for human life and civilized society. I wish that I knew. My condolences to you and the officer’s family, Steve. Take care.
