Am I REALLY the only one who noticed that there is a tab of leather missing, beyond the end of the strap shown in the picture? Repair as is, not possible. Maybe a clever shoemaker could stitch on an extension, but I’d say, not likely going to happen. Replace it.

Yup. 🤦

Oh, well. Maybe the information will be useful for someone else in the future. It's interesting to see the failure mode of the strap anyway.

If you really like the looks of it and want to keep it , and you aren't already on the last hole, you could shorten it a little on that end and properly fix it by gluing and stitching.
I have a smaller than average wrist and have redone the buckle end on a band before to shorten it for a proper fit.
Its never going to be like new and a repair there is not going to be visible when worn.
Its obvious that the leather was too thin and weak at that point or it would not have failed.

Yes, you are the only one who has a 3D-imagiation that needs some improvement 😉

Pretty sure it is like this (maybe @alam makes a photo from a different angle):
The beige back of the strap stands up so that it seems a bit short. The black part where the mandrel sits is still pleated.
Thus, the top black pleated part needs to be glued on the black bottom part and the beige back must be glued afterwards.
Imho, the strap can be repaired.

You start out with a smart a$$ comment about my 3D imagination, then you use the words “your humble opinion”. I don’t see much humility in your post. I’ll change my opinion if I see the strap as it is, re-glued!

I understand what both of you are seeing, and I think it's hard to tell whether the flap is torn off or just folded back with the end obscured. We need better photos.

Old lady or young lady?

No parts of the strap are missing and that must be a good thing...

@Oku sums it up accurately...👍

I’ll take some pics of the strap after my attempts to repair...

My first sentence was a simple reply to your quite bold statement (including shouting) "Am I REALLY the only one" which implied that @alam was not able to see that his strap was torn. I am sorry if that has hurt your feelings. As you can see I used an emoji to show that the intention of my comment was more humorous than offensive. Obviously, that emoji did not work. So my apologies.

Anyway, it seems that I was not too wrong with my 3D imagination... 😎
