This is an interesting comment, even if it's just a slip. I wonder if people buying these watches think they own Speedmasters now.
I think there is an element who think 'why should I spend six grand for a watch I have to wind up when I can get the same look and functionality for $260? It says Omega Speedmaster on the dial after all.' It is no danger to Swatch but could be a danger to Omega.

It is a Speedmaster- says so right on the dial

It’s just a Swatch product and not an Omega product…although their name is on the dial, so….

They do, a Swatch Speedmaster, which is very different from an Omega Speedmaster.

I think wether we like it or not, this release is now part of the Speedmaster legacy- along with the reduced, and all the LE’s and the 7750 based models…they are all Speedmasters.

The Speedmaster line is so rich, this isn’t even the first quartz Speedmaster. Remember this (not my photo) but ?

It’s not until you begin browsing A Journey Through Time that you realise how insanely broad Omega’s product range has been over its history, Omega has an astonishing number of variants sub-variants exceptions and one-offs

Not a slip. He asked if I’ve been a Speedmaster fan. My answer was no, I have never handled or owned a Speedmaster before.

Nope, no issue with mine. But it’s also not very humid or hot where I am. Is it only the Neptune that has this reported issue?

yup, it was disheartening for a lot of people. There was a number system that was implemented(not by Swatch) by the first people in line. Where there were cards, and our number indicated our sequence in line. The number of people were well into the thousands.

The worst was making friends, and then realizing there were only 108 watches…..
So wait people made the queue and not swatch? Did swatch honor the number system lol

I am an IT expert but I understand they might be reluctant to do online sales. As apparently flippers have bots who are much quicker than human. Abs they will buy the watches.
Yeah i guess but noone will be able to ever get their hands on them if they dont. I think they will have enough stock for eventually almost everyone to grab one over time

Welcome to the site mate, you’re probably the first person who came here off the MoonSwatch alone 👍

Have a look around some of the other Omega topics while you’re here and see if you find anything else that appeals to you
