Yes correct. People made the queue. Swatch technically did not honour the system, but since the system was in place, most ppl were in the same order throughout the entire night. Only issue was….. there were TWO entrances and not just the one….
Thanks!! The only other Omega I’ve owned was my first semi expensive watch purchase which was a 36mm Black Seamaster (quartz) with sword hands. After that, I’ve been a Rolex collector. But when these Moonswatches came out, I’m suddenly now looking for the Professional Moonwatch as well to add into my collection. I like colors (even two tone) on my watches so I most likely will get either a Blue side or white side of the moon. Thanks for the warm welcome!
Ya.... throughout the night, there were definitely ppl trying to jump the queue at any chance they could get. And then add on to the fact, most were there all night suffering, only to not get a watch
See its the time people are investing and people who try to just cut them off or get a watch by cheating the line, thats not right. I would probably be one of the ones to get aggressive if i was waiting all night… lol i have issues with cheaters and people who take advantage of other peoples valuable time
Looking at the reported stock numbers for the launch I suspect most people with an interest will be on the mailing list and looking to order online. I don’t know anyone who has tried to buy in the London shops this week.
Just back from Swatch in London. As expected no watches. They said they had some yesterday and it sold on 2 hours. So probably around 100 watches.
I figured the box can do some damage. When I first took the watch out, the plastic sticker on the crystal was all scratched up and very cloudy. But the crystal itself was fine after removing the protective sticker. I wore mine daily for a good while after 3/26 and now wear it in rotation with my other watches, which is to say I haven’t babied it and wear it regularly, with no issues. Still no crystal scratches regardless of shirt, jacket, or regular daily activities like putting away groceries/dishes, getting things out of zippered bags, etc. But it’s good to know Poly Watch works well when the inevitable does eventually happen…
Good christ I hate the click-bait titles on youtube... "Here's how easy it is to scratch the MoonSwatch Crystal" just doesn't have enough drama to drive the clicks I guess....
So much drama for something that is supposed to be fun. I guess the youtubers have to make a living too, sigh.
