I thought only Rolex and Patek have integrated manufacturing?

Omega are not claiming integrated manufacturing. However, they say every part of watch is made in Switzerland.

I have seen many threads debating how Swiss made Omega is referring to 60% rule.

Am I not reading this correct? On Omega home page scroll to bottom click on Swiss Made

‘Swiss made’ certification for a product has a certain requirement (60% or whatever). Omega are 100%. They exceed the requirement. And its fairly certain they have integrated manufacturing (Swatch group is huge).

It makes sense. This must be a new addition as I have not seen a clear statement like this from Omega before.

I don't have any knowledge about this myself. But recently my watchmaker went on a rant to me about receiving Omega service parts that were made in China. He showed me some markings on a parts packet that he said indicated where they were made. Maybe he had his information mixed up about this? Or possibly service parts are made in different regions (I'm in Oceania) and follow different rules to when the original watch is put together in Switzerland?

Let me guess, the parts were marked “CH”? 😀

What does it mean if the parts are marked CH Archer?

Just seen this picture that has caused a commotion from around 7 years ago on the internet It mentions country of origin China. What it could mean the part came from Switzerland but were ordered from China. Probably an authorised agent in China needed parts to service a watch. Also Omega saying all parts of the watch are from Switzerland, could of been recently added to their site.

Yes, I wouldn’t assume that because this was the case in the past, that it still is now.

Rolex is fully integrated?

I don’t think so. Only Seiko is. Rolex doesn’t make its own hairsprings last time I checked. Patek might… but I’d doubt that.

In my view anytime a company comes forth and states how honest and righteous they are usually means they have something to hide.

The Parachrome hairspring is in-house by Rolex, although I don't know if every watch they make gets this...

It’s nice to see Omega now adding all parts of the watch are Swiss Made and offering a five year warranty. It is good for Omega and the folks who buy their watches.

Pretty sure some bracelets were made in china in 2013 as the receipt is from then.

Rolex just bought all the companies that made them parts so in essence everything is made by Rolex and in house. Still laugh at their steel marketing that makes it sound like they make the steel in a special foundry in the basement (yet it’s the same steel vats at a orange juice/ soda company locally are made out of)

And
Please don’t open the in house can of worms (or the thread from a few years back)

No worries. Omega have only put this recently on their web page, so must be a new thing. Omega now probably just use Swiss suppliers. It’s ok as long as quality control is there.

Well at least it is going in the right direction. The price increases are going to some good use.
