Omega watches... the other " Hans "
Most of us wrist watch lovers, fans & aficionados surely know the name of Rolex founder " Hans " Wilsdorf (1881-1960) but what about the other " Hans " at Omega SA ?
Hans Widmer was technical director of Omega and he played an important role in getting the Omega wristwatches behind the Iron Curtain and into the Soviet Russian spaceflight programme.
Of course most of us know him from the famous October 5, 1970 NASA photos showing astronaut Thomas Stafford awarding Hans Widmer a Silver Snoopy pin for the role the Omega Speedmaster chronograph had in space travel and primarily for the role it took on the Apollo 13 mission!

Well it looks like Omega SA has direction/steering participation in LIFETIME but the magazine is published by an independant partner 📖
So the text was entered to be checked & published in an English & French language magazine #MoonwatchUniverse
