Hi everyone, I came across this interesting Omega vintage that I would like to buy. Potentially it is the reference 2910-4 SC, according to the seller's description.

Do you think it’s genuine? In your opinioni, are the components original or at least period-correct? Any idea of a fair price range for buying it?

Thanks a lot for your support with this purchase!

Hi there. This is the 10th watch you've asked this forum about since joining this summer. Basically the same exact copy/paste question.

I'm interested to know if you purchased any of the previous watches. Do you buy for yourself? Or are the experts here unpaid authenticators and appraisers for watches you purchase for resale?

I am also looking for a time when you've ever expressed a "thank you" for the advice you've been given in the past. If anyone finds one first let me know.

No, I'm just a newbie who wants to get some information from a group of experts about the authenticity of a few vintage models I’ve been finding on various online platforms. Should I thank each person individually?

I haven’t bought any watch so far because you’ve basically torn apart every single one I’ve found. Anyway, you’re totally free not to reply rather than start an argument!

I would thank people that gave you responses in the threads in which they gave you answers.

They are doing this out of kindness. They aren't being paid.

If you are consistently finding bad examples, I'd suggest sticking to the private listings and the watches recommended in the eBay threads for starters. When your eye is more developed, perhaps it will be more effective to search yourself, but at this point, you may just be wasting a lot of time.

It's also possible that you are screening mainly by price, and looking at the bottom of the market, which is steering you towards bad examples. What is your budget?

Considering in other areas of life you would be expected to pay for expert advice, then saying thank you a few times is not too much to ask, IMHO.

I like how the OP doubled down on NOT saying thank you.

"Not only am I NOT going to say 'thank you,' I'm justified in not showing any appreciation. How dare you tell me to show common courtesy." 😂

I still think he's flipping these purchases. And looking here first. Also a chance the OP is an AI bot. Either way, I've written them off.

By the way I'm looking for a nice Omega vintage Watch, it can also be not 100% perfect, original or period-correct, just nice to wear and without clearly fake components

The dial is crap.
The dial does not seem too different compared to an original picture of this model that I found on Omega website, potentially a part from the "Omega" inscription
