Hi all,

Another great Omega I've found and wondering if the community can help me verify its 'realness'.

Fron the seller:
AN IMMACULATE ALL ORIGINAL 1956 AUTOMATIC OMEGA SEAMASTER. Ref 2845.

What do we think? The red second hand and Omega printing is whats throwing me off. Some googling does provide such examples.

Fantasty redial crap I am afraid. You were right to be suspicious.

poorly refinished dial. I would stay away.

That’s a terrible redial. Good that it raised red flags for you but if you can’t tell immediately that’s a redial it might be worth spending some more time understanding the finer details of references you’re interested in to avoid buying a lemon.
Obviously members here are usually perfectly happy to help with any watch you’re considering as wel.

Lots wrong with that should be easy to spot for next time :
Crude font especially o , g and a in omega, but it is all bad
Cross hairs too thick
Red second hand has paint slapped on, and is well red
No "swiss made" at bottom
Second marks are random length and thickness

The pic with the ref # (which i didn't show) was a bit blurry. Was my best guess.
