    Hi all.

I have a prospective buyer for my Speedmaster. He asked if I would be open to having the watch validated at a watch shop or Omega boutique. Any thoughts on this request? Does Omega even do this?

    Thanks

Nothing unusual, typical procedure. I’ve already done this with a buyer at my local OB.

    What would the process be?

    "Hi is this genuine"
    "Yes"
    "Thanks"

OB's will not confirm consistently watches. I've seen them five passes to fakes and Frankensteins, and refuse to verify legit watches.

They are not a good source.

This is a good place to confirm Speedmasters though. Dial and bezel shot, and inner and outer caseback. Serial number. Can confirm.

Pricing need movement shots and goodncase pictures.

Agreed. I'd trust OF over any official Omega outlet any day.
