Omega TC-1 time computer on leather strap

When I researched I did not find much information about Omegas first LED watch, the time computer TC-1. I belive that I saw it on James Bonds wrist in the cinema - when I was a child.

I bougth this watch long time ago for my collection and never wore it nor researched it.
It would be great if some members of this forum could answer some questions of mine:

1: Is it correct that TC-1 was made in solid gold, gold plated, metal bracelet and with leather strap? Solid gold seems to be really rare (Omega Museum doesnt have one?). I belive the second rarest is the one I have - on leather strap (with the magnet inside the clasp)? Do they have one in the museum? Does anybody have an idea how many they produced or how many are in existance? Case seems to be different from the one with metal bracelet.

2: Did the model with the metal bracelet have another reference, than the one on leather strap?

3: Do all the stickers, documents etc which I have (see first picture) do belong original to my watch for sure (or possibly to another) metal bracelet watch?

4: Is the "Dynamic" box the correct box for my watch?

5: Is there any realistic market value for a leather strap watch like mine today?

Thank you for sharing any information - happy x-mas!

Judging by your pics and as far as I remember, the leather strap was no regular option.

The boxes were different here and then, Wouldn't mind this point.

But your watches eyes are dark?

Be prepared that the heart of the watch might be gone and check this ASAP, while you still are able to discuss with the seller.

I've got two of these watches, that will not work, regardless of all battery sources on this nice planet.

Repairs at reasonable rates are most likely impossible.

Thank you but I bougth it at least 15 years ago. Last time when I had the battery changed it did work.

Hi, thanks for your request. Could you please take pics from the modul (with the gold Omega medallion placed between the two battery slots (serial number is there) and the inside of the caseback (with the ref. number). That Information is needed to assess whether it is an original watch and whether there is a different ref.-no. for that.
IMO TC1 came as solid Gold (uber rare), white and yellow gold plated with matching steel bracelets (also plated), not as a steel version (first steel version came with the TC2).
The clasp of your leather strap looks very interesting, never saw that before.

... just to show where to look see attached pic of my TC1. The medallion also contains the caliber (1600) printed in the middle. The reference of the gold plated is 196.0020.
Best

Fairly common at the time. That clasp was used for leather and mesh. You turn the clamp screw, adjust the length, and turn it back to lock it. I have one somewhere....

would like to do so but unfortunately it is currently out for battery exchange / service. As soon as I have it back - yes!

I just got the feedback that my "movement" is in very nice running condition and all the documents I have belong to this individual watch!

You’ll need to get battery spacers fitted, if not done already. New batteries are smaller in diameter than the obsolete originals.
