This kind of stuff is funny to me. I went to my OB a few weeks ago and they were pushing their fragrances on me. I told the rep:
"I don't buy watches from Montblanc, I don't buy pens from Burberry, I don't buy fragrances from music artists. I'll stick to buying watches from you.

Reminds me of one time I was at Disneyland and I ran across a guy who absolutely every single item he was wearing, down to his man-purse said Mercedes-Benz on it 🤨
Does someone want to tell him...

I know, they are fine timepieces and there have been a few of their watches that have tempted me but to me it's like buying a BMW with a Range Rover engine in it

[Edit: and I said it more as a to zinger to him, not to knock Montblanc watches]

They actually have a long history with watches... Next your going to tell me your not going to buy a McLaren as it has a MB engine in it!

Most likely yes, I'd tell you that. I'm OCD about certain things 😁

I'm actually quite fond of Montblanc pens. I have a nice collection of their Solitaire line. I know their watches are excellent, yet I'm sort of a purist about certain things but who knows - someday I might end up wearing one of their watches

One of the best pair of sunglasses I ever owned was a pair of swatch metal framed sports glasses. Were better than any Oakley pair I ever owned in the day.

(I put a pair of sunglasses on every morning and wear them all day every day in Northern Australia. I buy 3 sets of sunglasses every January for about up to $1k Otis is the brand of choice the last few years)

I had a perv at the site, and noticed they’ve got a vegan watch strap for $3180……. Makes me glad to be a carnivore,

No polymers we’re harmed in the making of any of my leather watch straps.

This!

Tinted protective glasses. You never loose them, break them or forget them they are just too cheap for that. The Omega glasses I would have forgot where I lost the broken ones in three minutes.

I’m used to paying cubic dollars for eyewear so those prices don’t look all that frightening to me.
Due to my totally fυcked up eyesight I have several sets of glasses to juggle during the day, mutifocals don’t work for me, maybe alright for an office johnnie at a desk but no use for crawling under machines to see what broke, all ways trying to look through the wrong lens.
My eyes need pretty oddball ground lenses and as they have to be high impact polycarbonate for safety they cost a small fortune to get done.
Most frames in the goggle doctors are flimsy rubbish and stupidly small.
So I use Rayban aviator frames, sound reasoning for this.
The frames are tough…… really hard to break.
Even if I do break them, I can just go down the street and buy a set of Raybans and put my lenses in, no mucking about with the goggle doctor, and getting “ they don’t make that model frame anymore” and having to wait ages having new lenses made to suit the new frames that they sold you.
As the Rayban aviator is a design classic they’ve been around for around 80+ years and likely they’ll be around forever, so no problem just popping my lenses in the new frame.
I have clip on side covers that protect my eyes from debris getting behind the lenses from the side.
It is a right royal pain in the arse spending my day swapping between 4 sets of glasses to suit what I’m doing, but that’s the price I pay to be the magnificent specimen that I am!

I use prescription sunglasses as well.

One pair of Costa Diegos, blue lenses north of $1K: great polarization but limited to fishing trips because they constantly slide forward which is annoying for daily use and also quite dark.

1 pair of Maui Jims, bronze lenses right around $1K: great polarization, better all-around visibility but wife hates them because she says I look like a cholo with them.

1 pair of Costco sunglasses with their greenish hue around $300: it's the pair I wear the most because they're stylish, great casual/dressy looks, progressive darkness and they just work. If I would have bought these first, I could have saved $2K.

Never knew Omega did these and just saw them on the website. They don't look bad but are they having a laugh? Comical pricing.
Comical pricing at Omega isn't limited to sunglasses. Have you ordered a plastic watch crystal lately? 😲
