There’s another two blokes that have picked these up and mentioned it to me by PM, and we might see @watchyouwant post his at some point too, I think of all the obscure models I’ve written about this is probably my favourite and the one that is getting the most love, they’re just such cool watches.

I agree, it has a "je ne sais quoi"... Mind you, maybe that is why I am also attracted to the Manhattan, another unloved watch.

😗 And the Manhattan is one that I totally dislike, although I normally love the more quirky designs😀

I will leave them all for you😀

I think it will, the only issues I had were with the local package company. This is a reputable one with which I had no issues before. Maybe some delay, but we are not having the weather like in the US😵‍💫

So the watch has arrived😀 and it’s stunning.
Just look at the dial🥰 Minor “pits” on the bottom side and over all a nice condition. Timegrapher shows decent amplitude, ok beat error and runs a little too fast. Nothing that cannot be fixed👍👍

Very impressive looking watches when in mint condition with those razor sharp lines and sober, understated grey dials...

My thoughts exactly. It doesn’t fit into my usual hunting pattern at all, but it’s so funky and different I’ve felt the urge to have one ever since I saw @LesXL s example in persona. The great article by @dsio revived that feeling, and I managed to find just the example I was looking for. Case, bracelet and dial are in incredible shape, it’s just the plexi that shows many tension cracks. My watchmaker has already ordered a replacement from Omega (which certainly isn’t cheap…), once it’s installed the watch will look almost new.

And some more to emphasize those sharp edges and the incredible contrast of brushed and polished surfaces:

Thanks Ash & Lester for the inspiration.

Matt, that looks awesome!!! ... I shouldn't dibs it but... 😀

Great presence on wrist, it got that sophisticated elegance, and luckily not much loved by collectors, so good bargains can be found.

Congratulation and great catch... Surely bring it with next time your in town!

Will do!

And a word regarding prices: I completely agree, there are bargains out there. It adds up though: I spent ~300€ on the watch including bracelet. Great deal - but then there's import fees, 125€ + tax for a new plexi, a service... by the time it's all done, this will be closer to 1000€ in total, serviced and in near-mint condition though. 😀
