Having paid full price for this one (399 euros!) a year or so ago, I do feel ripped off slightly. Then again, I believe it is worth the full price and would therefore highly encourage everyone interested to pull the trigger. Recommended!

@Aludic What you're experiencing is 'buyer's remorse with hindsight satisfaction'... I've only experienced it a few times in my life but it's definitely a weird place to be.

IMHO not a true reference book in the strict sense of the word...
" Moonwatch Only " is a reference book although a future edition should be made up of two books, one volume explaining all parts details and a second volume listing all the Speedies in historical order.

Received my Book yesterday. Shipment from Italy to Australia was an astonishing 6 Days only! And for that 4 Kg book, courier shipment was euro 60 only. This Book is worth every $ ; the picture quality is first Class. Extreme detailed pics. Even if you call it a " Coffee table book " , it works. Had it randomly opened on the Table and everybody, who did visit me, started turning the pages ... And so the Conversation stayed with Omega Speedmaster's ... Even from persons, who no longer wear Watches . Wow.

So, my impressions of the book are positive, but the best analogy to flipping through this book is a visit to an art museum like the Louvre in Paris. You get overwhelmed with fabulous photos with extreme details of mostly rare watches (limited editions), but there are no technical details; you have to search for those elsewhere. Where the "Moonwatch only" (MO) book serves as a reference guide to buying vintage watches, this book just provides an illustrated glimpse into Omega's Speedmaster portfolio. Whether it is worth the full price depends on what you expect and how deep your pockets are. It is well worth owning, but you will rarely open it to search for something specific as opposed to the MO.
