We have had a thread about this previously but I wanted to make this more visible to everyone as we've done in the past when members have taken the time and effort to create something special for the collector community as @Andrea Foffi has. Authoring a book on such a niche subject is a labor of love and often one that does not pay very well but Andrea has a deep passion for Speedmasters and the Omega brand as a whole which definitely comes out in the preview we have been shown.

Magister is a collection of high quality detailed photographs of rare, special and historically significant Speedmaster models from Andrea's personal collection, encompassing some of the most sought after references and variants.

Until November 30th preorders can be made at a discounted price of 349 Euros, after which it will go up to the regular retail price so you will save a good amount ordering in the next 11 days.

The Andrea's team have focused on maximising print, color and paper stock quality to present these watches as faithfully and accurately as possible, with around 340 pages and over 700 photos in a 3.1KG volume

Hi all and thanks for hosting Magister, following some book's detail changed on the way...
Now, about the book Magister - A Unique Andrea Foffi Speedmaster Selection. It consists of a whopping 419 pages, including more than 370 photographs. It is printed in a 240mm × 330mm format and features high-quality, six-color printing with UV LED technology for the best color representation. The book weights approximately 3.800kg.

I mean, technically they aren't wrong. 500 is more than 370 and 700 is over 500

It looks like its sort of been increasing since the first version of the site and getting bigger but the price is the same

except that the 370 number was what was posted on this thread just hours ago!

some of those ads were in Metric units and some were Imperial... 😎

For those in the US: I checked with Magister and shipping to the US is 46 euros. And a 4% VAT is included in the book price.

Hi all, meanwhile thank you for your messages, we apologize for the inaccurate information you receive regarding the number of photos in the book. I would just like to say that many of the photos are on two pages, and at the beginning, were counted as two photos rathen then one. Anyway with the new version of the site soon online, all the information has been updated. The photos are over 370, the pages of the book have become 416 and the weight has increased to 3.800 Kg

Is the book historically organized, 1957 to 2021... like presented in the "Moonwatch Only" book?
Is there a section about the Speedmaster' use in motorsports, aviation and spaceflight... fascinating history giving added value to such a book

Alongside contributions from significant figures from the world of Omega:
Petros Protopapas - Heritage Manager of Omega
Aurel Bacs - Senior Consultant Phillips in Association with Bacs & Russo
Robert-Jan Broer - Founder of Fratello Watches
A separate chapter concerns Andrea Foffi, who contributed not only by providing the extraordinary pieces photographed by Fabio Santinelli, but also by providing consultancy on the historical aspect of the collection which is based on his multi-decade experience in the Speedy world. Lastly, an American astronaut, who gives a "first-hand" account on his collection and his emotions during the four space missions he took part in. We will have to wait until MAGISTER is published at the end of November to find out more about this great character.
