Omega stingray stem / set time issue

Pulled the stem out of my 70’s omega Geneva stingray . Set it back in now it sets the time when depressed as opposed to when it’s pulled out. Please help!!

I’m afraid you’re going to need a watchmaker, this is not something you can fix without knowing how to repair watches

You may have a crown/stem length problem where the crown has loosened off or been screwed closer in.
It really needs a watchmaker sort it.

WIthout understanding the issue, and this'll easily make things worse;

Did you try pressing the steam release button, releasing the stem, and re-inserting the stem?

It's like turn on/off first advice, but since keyless works have components can get loose, if it's an issue like that, it'll likely require an expert fix, which will just be re-placing the components unless you damage them trying things like what I suggest 😁
