No proof it's a redial TNT, although it could be of course, and I have owned the watch for 10 years, and before that I know where it lived.

One similar may well have been on eBay. I doubt there is only one in existence!

Stop the ad hominem. The very first person here who stated your redial has no less qualification and even better credibility than your watchmaker, and you dismissed and attacked him outright. Time to put the question of credibility on you.

Well, Archers opinion is an Omega certified specialists opinion, plus a watchmakers, plus a general watch expert, plus someone that has countless times helped track arts, serials, and watches for members, plus someone that has proven himself genuine and honest and quite generous. I for one would take his notes to heart.

This is what I would do. Because of the respect and closeness you have with this omega service expert you know I would go back, not to question him, but to seek his counsel. I would simply say " mate, the guys at the forum are driving me nuts, seriously, but they do rise a couple of valid points that maybe you can help me with because neither I, nor them, can provide a definite answer but maybe you can. Here are some of the questions:

1- dial and sundial definition
2- tritium
3 - speedster legend
4- upside down markers
5- font and number alignment
6- could this be a redial?
7- if I where to sell it, how could I get it authenticated in writing by Omega? How or who can get access to the archives?
8- would omega ever release a watch with these exceptions and, of so, what would be the value?"

I'm sure he can answer all those on about 20 minutes or less over coffee and standing on one leg because as you say this is his life. And with that all these thread and the efforts of aficionados like me , up to experts like Al, will be validated because all we want is to help.

@jrpippen you do not know who these OF Members are, from my experience a collector who STUDIES 50s to 60s Constellations knows more than the average service professional. Some members on this forum are truly better qualified and make their livelihood by selling wristwatches. The individual who appraises, buys and sells $1,000 to $100,000 timepieces has more at stake and thus is more critical on particularities.

Concerning the OF members input:
They have taken time out of their day to provide their input on your piece. They want it to be real, I want it to be real, we all do since we truly love these unique finds. However, when so many members have concerns (the markers being placed upside down... Cannot believe I did not mention this...) you should address them. Going back to your one and only point "it was at STS" is not sufficient in my opinion. It should also not be sufficient to you! You should not be selling this timepiece with one source of "proof", to me that is unethical - it is a willful ignorance.

If I were you I would be thanking OF members for their time and input, not questioning their credentials in a rude manner. As of now, I would not even consider buying a timepiece from you, nor would I like to help anymore with constructive criticism, best of luck.

Remember you asked for advice, many pages ago, this was not a witch hunt. You keep stating that your man at Omega/STS is the reason you believe your dial is origional. Well this just doesn't hold water...As a matter of fact there are/have been redials in the Omega Museum and there are even some redials that slipped into the AJTT (Google it if you don't know what it is). Another fact is that the combined knowledge on Vintage Omegas here is second to none. It would not be surprising if Omega did come here to use the vast compilation of information and photos available to aid them with there determinations.

It would be in your best interest to stop what you're doing here, as you've already alienated several knowledgable people who will unlikely help you in the future. One last question...why is it so important that you convince us that this dial is origional...this is just a rhetorical question for you to think about.

1/ Someone asks for opinions - fair enough.
2/ People give opinions - fair enough.
3/ OP refutes those opinions..
4/ People justify their opinions with evidence.
5/ OP goes into denial.
6/ People who respond, get frustrated with the OP.
7/ OP thinks, "I might have cocked up" but the aforementioned denial won't let him say so.
8/ The rest of us have a bloody good laugh because we know we have also cocked up along the way but haven't been crazy enough to suggest that we've got a prototype.
