My favourite part was when the (now) infamous "Chris" was revealed to be non-existent - apparently nobody called Chris works for STS - the source of the equally infamous prototype confirmation became "Mark" in JR's next post.

In a way, I feel sorry (not) for jrpippen as he has been vilified throughout the entire watch world. Perhaps ev3rclear will give him a job in his horological empire.

Now, he is claiming that he will give all of the proceeds to charity. That said, his ads were pulled on wus and tz...

This made me smile

"Tom Dick works for STS? I did wonder... tennis.png "

I wouldn't say he works for STS, the other way around I think, they work for him!

Or "he is a major financial supporter".

😜

Ha ha, damn it i've been rumbled again.............. I have a confession to make to all my fellow forum member...........................

My name is Tom and I am an Omega addict, I have been an addict for ten years now and although I have tried really hard to kick the habit I simply can't. My addiction was fuelled by living not 1/2 a mile away from STS for over five year, I have tried to break my cycle of addiction, going as far as to move hundred of miles away to land locked Nottingham but alas I keep being drawn back o the shiny ticking precious things

One things for sure, there isn't a Chris working at STS, although I am sure in Mr Rippens eyes that the least of his problems right now, I think there is someone over on TZ drawing up a list of well known RAF trombone players so they can narrow it down and nail him to a cross in person! Silly silly chap

Jim, don't take it personally about the mean TZ comment buddy, we all love you over here!

The post hasn't been removed from TZ, it has been moved to the hero's and villains section, which is only visible by registered members, it's also still raging like the towering inferno, running to page 9 at the moment and counting! Sad state of affairs but the other thing with TZ is that those boys do like a damn good witch hunt

His ad isn't too bad, until I got to this line.

"Returns accepted should watch be a fake. Which of course it isn't. It comes with an omega warranty!" 😕😵‍💫🤦

Do you think he'll drop by OF hat in hand to offer a mea culpa?🍿

Well, when you have hit rock-bottom, the only way is up and you know you have hit rock-bottom when the only forum on which you can show your face is WUS.

I just checked his listing and it's unchanged. Though he should change it. Although he uses the word "warranty" instead of "guarantee," he's implying that the watch isn't fake and that Omega somehow backs that up. Don't see how Omega as a company has anything to do with this watch. Oh well, let's hope that if anyone bites they do their due diligence.

Wow...got to tip your hat to such honesty !
The Dial has been the subject of some interest, and thanks for the messages. I have it on the best authority (Simon at STS) that it is definitely a redial. Hence the inclusion of a spare. I wanted to leave the redial in place, not only because it makes the watch unique, but becaue it's the original. It would have been easy to swap it out, but I thought the buyer should have the choice.

Assessing price on these is tricky but 1,519 GBP plus 100 GBP shipping?? Seems awfully high to me.
