Omega Speedsonic Advice

Morning,
I’m looking for a 1974 Speedsonic and I’ve been doing a lot of research on here and electric-watches.co.uk.
Now I’ve found a pretty good example, I went to view it yesterday and it has a different clasp to the ones I’ve seen previously, there aren’t a great deal of them out there to compare so thought I’d reach out on here for some advice.


The picture above is the clasp on the watch, it doesn’t have the same shape to it as the lobster links, it doesn’t look as long, when opened up it also doesn’t have the reference 1212/203 and it doesn’t have the box around the Omega logo.


This is the clasp I’ve seen on other Speedsonic’s, it has the same shape / flow as the bracelet and it has the box around the omega symbol.
Can anyone please shed some light on the clasp, the dealer believes it to be correct and I think it has been fitted later.
Also, I couldn’t find any information about the change in logo stamp so if anyone has details or a link on a timeline around the changes I’d be interested in learning about that.

Probably an aftermarket replacement. They’re available on Etsy and other sites, I believe, and some forum members like to put them on their Uncle Seiko or Forstner bracelets.

The original buckle probably got damaged so they used another one, I've seen it before on bracelets from the 60s.

Pretty rare this lobster bracelets..it will be difficult to spot a replacement in my opinion.

Thank you all! So the search continues, you've all confirmed what I'd suspected, just need it clarified before I walked away from, shame really as other than the clasp its a great example.
As you mentioned BarbVl, if the clasps where more readily available I'd probably go for it and the source a clasp over time, however I've only seen one 1212/203 bracelet and that's on eBay starting bid of £564 plus p&p.
Is there any information out there about the change in logo stamp, for example when it changed from having a box around the Omega logo?
