Imho, we forum members are stricter in applying his grading criteria. This is not saying that his watches are less nice than he judges (it's his own grading system afterall.) Instead, this demonstrates that when we use his grading system, we need to be more realistic in our expectations.

I've had a few speedys in excellent condition that a few potential buyers (new to vintage speedmasters) have claimed were good to very good based on simply reading his grading criteria.

I do quibble with the NOS dash 68. It's of course in excellent, if not mint condition. But NOS in my mind means never having been worn with no swirls or surface scratches. Regardless, that's a very good price for that watch.
