· ·@SpeedyBirthYearFor sale an Enicar Sherpa Graph in amazing vintage condition. This unusual white dial Sherpa Graph must have spend a long time of its life in a drawer as its condition shows little of its life since production in approx. 1968. It pains me to let it go, but other horological priorities await.
Fun fact; this exact colour variant is depicted in the great Enicar Time for a Change book.
Please find an assessment of the watch below. I have attempted to be as brutally honest as can be. Also note that I am certainly not the first owner of this watch...
Dial: Crisp, white dial in immaculate condition. The three shiny pie pans add a lot of depth to the dial, as does the applied Enicar globe logo. Under certain conditions, the pie pans show a very faint spotting, which is absolutely invisible in most lights. I have attempted to make this visible in the images below. Other than this, the dial shows absolutely no signs of age.
The tritium lume, which of course does no longer glow, is a little blotchy. I've seen this before, but whether it is original, I really dare not say.
Hands: I believe these to be the original hands.
Case: This is arguably the nicest, most defined, fat Sherpa Graph case I've seen with very sharp edges and chamfers intact. The very characteristic lugs are in very good condition, with only one minor mark on the top of the lower right lug. Caseback and medallion are in perfect order.
Movement and Serial: Valjoux 72, which was supposedly serviced when I obtained it through a reputable vintage dealer years ago. I might still have the receipt, currently looking for that still.
Runs smoothly with all functions working properly. I do recommend a service after purchase as the watch is running a little fast.
Crown: Likely original Enicar signed compressor crown.
Strap: It came to me with a matching Tropic strap which I have not used.
Set: Watch head + Tropic strap only.
Can be shipped worldwide, although I would strongly prefer a F2F deal in the Netherlands given the value of this piece and the added benefit of meeting a fellow OF-member in person.
No returns, please ask questions and extra pictures in advance. I am not making a habit out of selling, but I do have some - exclusively positive - references as a seller and buyer on this forum and could share more.
References and Linkedin profile available upon request.
Price: now further reduced to EUR 5800 (fixed, net to me and excluding shipping)
