@Syrte, people are just joking around, the OP is a big boy and I'm sure he can take it. And I don't know what you're getting at with your posts, which actually seem condescending to me. Just because the OP served in Vietnam doesn't make him senile, if that's what you are suggesting. I almost always agree with you, but not this time.
I am not at all suggesting he’s senile, that I find quite condescending- I ‘m suggesting he may have many other problems to deal with.

I'm not being condescending, I'm just pointing out what you posted. Maybe you should just own it instead of being defensive and deflecting my comments by turning accusations back at me.

What problems exactly are you referring to? We all have problems. You suggested that he might be "distracted" and that his son should take over.

Where did I accuse you?
You’re the one accusing me.
It is a well known fact certain types of injuries and PTSD can cause memory problems.
This is factual and I don’t think it is condescending.

Look at what people here havr been saying about this gentleman as if he were not reading this thread. I don’t think I’m the one who’s condescending
This is my last post in this thread.

...and in the Naval Aviation Officer Candidate School...
@GregS ...it’s good to see another AOCS grad! You were well before me since I graduated from AOCS in 1986...Class 41-86 Gunnery Sergeant Jones United States Marine Corps! Per chance, did you attend the AOCS reunion last year? Just curious. I attended and it was a blast. Anyway, my 105.003-64 says hello...pics below from the AOCS reunion last year...
