Yes, well Robert mentioned that already yesterday. But we wanted to give additional information today...
Just got off the phone with my local OB. They got an email today saying that some pieces are being released for their market already, he's going to check if mine is included in the first batch
I assume from this, that release of numbers simply depends which box/tray of casebacks is picked from the inventory to fit to the watches (and how fast those pass QC). In other words it'll be almost completely up to the vagaries of a random guy in the factory picking parts off a shelf. I kind of like that thought.
I was gutted to read that, my luck means I always have to wait, haha. Having a low number I hoped my chances might be better but now can pretty much confirm I'll be batch 3
Not sure if this has been noted yet (or if I've only noticed it today), but it looks like the official webpage has been updated as well. https://www.omegawatches.com/watches/speedmaster/moonwatch/speedy-tuesday-limited-edition/product/ PS - Hello, World! First post here!
Actually my understanding now is there will be lots of smaller batches, I was convinced I'd read somewhere they would be going on in three batches. So yeah, I'll more than likely be last batch. I'm the one that's always standing at the airport luggage collection still waiting for my suitcase after everyone's gone
Hi All First time post: Just spoken to my local OD (London) been told the following: Watches will be in 3 batches 1st batch containing 20% of the orders to be sent in the month of July Then 2 weeks later the 2nd batch of (20% ) then……..4 weeks after that ….the last 60% batch Really hoping I’m not in the 60% 3rd batch Hope this helps
Not being a longtime member here, I nevertheless would like to say: Welcome! That would mean, Omegas post saying the first watches are leaving the factory right now is fake news Can't believe that .
Guys, this anxiety is soooo funny. Should we really be worried as to whether we are in the first, second or third batch? Surely we should just be happy and consider ourselves very fortunate to have 1. the financial resources to buy the watch, 2. have our names on the reservation list? Looking forward to seeing the first live pics from whoever in the OF receives their watches first.
Well, even if indeed a batch is ready to be released (as said by Jean) does not means inmediate availability of those pieces as now logistics kick in in sorting deliveries to OB's and AD's globaly. Being mid June already july delivery of those sounds realistic
I think it's a race and kind of competition who will be the first OF member to introduce the ST here. That's the reason for all this excitement...
The sooner it gets here the sooner I have to pay for it I have 25+ years to enjoy the watch (hopefully), so 2-3 months is not too critical for me. There may be 60th Anniversary watches to play with in the interim; it would be nice to have a little time in between so they don't all hit at once.
