I thought about picking up from an AD but settled on a boutique as I'm having them order in a 1171 bracelet for collection/fitting at the same time.

The coms from Omega have been great, replies via email generally on the same day.

 

Can you just get an omega boutique to order an 1171?

Meaning, is having any speedmaster enough to get them to order one for you?

 

They were hesitant at first, only looking through the current catalogue. But I gave them the reference number, they put it into the system and confirmed it could be ordered in.

 

Just got myself a 1450 / 808 bracelet. It seems almost new and can't wait for my ST to meet this bracelet. (I am sure you guys know the bracelet model I am talking about ) IMHO this is THE killer combo to have.

 

Nice Pick! I went with the 1479 / 812, which is also vintage looking and fully brushed (her on my moon phase)

I've seen several bracelet combinations mentioned that people are buying for their ST's. How are you folk deciding which will be the best fit /match?

 

I'm just waiting for all you guys to post the Speey Tuesday with bracelets before deciding which to get.

Anyone know the ref # for the 1450/808 combo? I think I like that better than the 1171.

 

Think reference number is 020ST1450808 but doubt you can order it as has been discontinued for quite some time. You can buy them used for about $800 and up, not easy to source

 

Wow, that looks stunning on the bracelet.

Don't think the 1450 is made anymore... Would need to track down a vintage one. They go for eye watering prices do they not?

 

You see in not keen on this particular combination due to the fit of the end links to the case, they aren't deep enough and I think if it swings to one side of your wrist you'd see exposed lug edges which is one of my pet hates.

Think I'll just keep an eye on shared pics to see which works best for me.
