Anyone know the ref # for the 1450/808 combo? I think I like that better than the 1171.
Think reference number is 020ST1450808 but doubt you can order it as has been discontinued for quite some time. You can buy them used for about $800 and up, not easy to source
Wow, that looks stunning on the bracelet.

Don't think the 1450 is made anymore... Would need to track down a vintage one. They go for eye watering prices do they not?

I have been tracking sales of these recently to potentially match with my ST. I already have a 1450 in ok condition, as well as a 1479 for my other Speedys so I've passed. At these prices I can just switch bracelets around among my watches.

It doesn't seem as if price is going down anytime soon. Here are recent sold listings (known prices, no "best offer accepted") from eBay (prices in US$):

May 16 - UK $1,281.68 auction
April 25 - Switzerland $1,125 auction (supposedly NOS)
April 18 - Spain $1,103.50 BIN
April 3 - Switzerland $885.00 auction (A member here snagged this one for his ST 馃槜)
March 24 - Switzerland $1,125 auction (supposedly NOS)
March 23 - UK $804.30 auction
March 8 - UK $1,089.69 auction
Feb 17 - UK $962.56 auction

A handful of these are from the same seller so who knows if the same bracelet is being relisted or what. It seems like there have been more on the market than usual lately.

Yikes! I think the 1171 will work just fine. Do I need to order end links with it?

I bought the one sold on 24 March. I am no expert, but it looks like NOS to me (see pictures).

Yes, I have used 633 end links on a Speedmaster for the 1171 in the past.

Looks ultra crisp! 馃憤 Which watch are you wearing it with?

Thanks Andy. I bought it for my Silver Snoopy, but after seeing it on the Speedy Tuesday I think that is where it will go. Call me crazy, but I bought a 1447/805 yesterday but I had to buy the watch to get the bracelet. I am still waiting for the Speedmaster, but it is a circa 1985 145.022 which was fitted with the 1447/805. This answers the question asked by MWO on whether any 145.022 were fitted with the 1447/805.

Interesting find! I won't call you crazy though, since I recently bought a bezel and had to buy the watch to get it. 馃檮

You can also use the 1450 end links with the 1171 bracelet, not a 100% perfect fit but not too bad.

My 1447 bracelet - the middle section is slightly narrower than the 1450

Hi everyone, I'm new here as my post count shows, but I've been around on the Rolex forums and WUS. I just got really lucky (I think) and wanted to share my excitement! I wandered into an Omega store here in Taipei last night just to checkout the hesalite moonwatch. While talking to the clerk I mentioned what I really wanted was the Speedy Tuesday but I know there is basically no chance since it sold out so quickly. He looked at me and said, "Well if you're serious and willing to put down a full and non-refundable deposit now, I have one reservation available." I couldn't believe it and agreed. So, in the end, I had to pay upfront for a watch I won't get for a few months but I have a receipt and confirmation that I will receive mine later this summer! My gut tells me someone must have reserved one through the store and backed out. The funny thing is I've never shopped at this store so I was shocked they would offer it to me.

Hi bug1124,

How much was the cost in NT?

I'm comparing the prices of the Speedy Tuesday in Asia. I already have the price here in Philippines and I'm wondering if it will be cheaper for me to get it in Taiwan.

They couldn't seem to decide exactly what the total would be so they charged me 190000nt and will charge the other 800nt or so later once they can confirm. The Omega website shows 190800nt +VAT but I guess that is TBD or something. They implied it wouldn't be much more than 190000nt.

You lucked out my friend. Good on them passing the watch on.

That is one way of looking at it... But the one that does not align with the way these watches have been allocated. It means whoever is next on the actual waiting list gets boned.

It might have been me. That would not make me happy.

Sounds like someone in the store made a web allocation and passed it on to a customer, otherwise this would seem to go against the allocation process. I guess head office can have an intent, but who knows how these things translate into the real world.

So how is it supposed to work if somebody turns down their watch. Does Omega distribute them to the AD, presumably the one identified by the buyer? Is the A.D. then expected to return it to Omega and pass up a potential sale to one of their loyal customers or to anybody else for that matter?? I can see obviously if the buyer informs omega before it's distributed they would then go to their waitlist. .... but .... if the buyer informs the AD.... then .... ?

I was on the waiting list too so I guess I won't be needing that spot anymore (should my number have been called...)

I think you are right. Taipei city has a large population of wealthy but computer illiterate older people who likely asked the store for help in making the reservation. Then perhaps they changed their mind. This would also be why they wanted a full price, non-refundable commitment from me.

I saw some people asking for a video of the watch, here is one I recorded:

Has anyone thought about adding the silver snoopy strap to theirs when it arrives. I think the white stitching would work well against the white dails and I'm very tempted to give it a go. Big ask but is anyone able to do a mock up of what it would look like? As I'm fair to stupid to even consider trying .
