I would recommend to register on the Omega website and create a myOmega account because I guess this customer database was the source for the invitation emails.

Forgive me for not being clear, I have a reservation for the Speedy Tuesday LE because I received the email from Omega HQ around 5:00 am central time in USA. My OB was thrilled that I was able to make a reservation for the latest LE.

Omega HQ emails me regularly, and I also get the Lifetime magazine in the mail. That being said I haven't received the latest copy.... Guess that will be my official reason for going to OB today! 馃榾

I'm just going to send mine in for full service every 6 months 馃榿
Wishful thinking and probably totally impossible...but the old applied logo would be a wonderful thing to have on the dial of my FOIS!

I'm in. Not sure why. It's my impetuous side. Went for the lowest number available.

Yes, indeed.

Though, getting the email at 3am Pacific didn't help me (or most people in this part of the world).

My OB emailed me about it Tuesday morning, but by the time I received the email they were sold out. I informed them the website said all numbers had been allocated and to try later.

Based on my conversations with the manager and assistant manager via email and texting, this was a surprise to them as much as it was to us. Stopping by OB today to say hello and see if they have any additional information.

+1

The OB's I've interacted with in the past were equally surprised, and equally saddened for me that I didn't secure one.

I gave them all the feedback to pass onto Omega Corporate that it would've been nice to have a heads up. A vague, uninformative heads up, but a heads up nonetheless: "You might want to be up at Noon GMT+1 on so and so day for a surprise announcement!"

Something like that.

But if they sent that to ever one in the world prior.

( 900+K Omega Instagram followers plus 104K Frattellow followers and the however many myOmega accounts )

You would probably be in the same book.

Hey not having a go but it was a watch linked to a Dutch blogger site that was released at the time he released he's weekly blog. It was a surprise to everyone as well noted the OBs didn't even know about.

I know your annoyed about missing one but time to let it go.

Fair enough. Point taken.

Just don't like that we weren't all on equal footing. If I couldn't secure a spot because everyone in the world was refreshing, I'd be more Ok with it than if certain regions had the advantage. I have felt the same way before (not with Omega) when US timezones had the advantage.

That said, I've already let it go. 馃榾

Other recent LEs have had uneven footing as well, such as only being able to reserve a CK2998 if you have already bought several new Omega watches. Sucked to have had to chase on on the aftermarket, but in the end too bad for my local OB because I paid less then I would have paid them. And the Silver Snoopy was even worse.

I'm not so sure LEs should be the near-exclusive realm of people who have deep enough pockets to buy multiple $5k+ watches.

so yeah, I am happy I was able to secure one of these LEs since the way the allocated them gave me a chance.

The CK2998's situation is dismal.

They made too many. Started off "too hard to get" and then ended up discounted on the secondary market.

Every single AD or OB I've ever interacted with has tried to sell me their CK2998 that they have in stock. If I wanted, I could have 10 of them right now at or meaningfully below MSRP. 馃檨

Very sad. It's a lovely watch.

Funny, I think the FOIS is harder to come by and it's not even limited..

My husband bought me a necklace made of "ck2998s" (still bothers me that they used that name) for the cost of a used Toyota. I'm hoping for a Snoopy necklace next xmas.

Because the real CK2998 commemorative edition is the FOIS? 馃榾
