    I did my reservation so quickly didn't realized you could pick a number! Later went back in again and saw that feature, was able to then pick the number I wanted

    Didn't get the email... but I selected an OB for my pickup location.

    Nice they are doing an official waiting list on the website. I'm sure there will be more than a few that aren't paid for.

    Well, I guess getting on the waiting list is better than nothing at all, so I registered also...

    I wonder if the order in which the people on the waiting list will be served, is also going to be on a "first registered, first served" basis

    Here's a thought: Any chance that, given the overwhelming response and obvious demand, Omega might do a second run? Or would they turn down an opportunity for guaranteed sales?

    Nice I was hoping they'd do that, so now when there are drop out when payment is due people who are on the list should be able to take those spots in order rather than having to keep checking back and refreshing.

    There will definitely be a good number come available for those on the list do if you were one of those that missed out, get in quick.

    Not necessarily. I understand the point of limited editions very well. But there are lots of other Speedy LE versions, some of which have sold better than others. Moreover (as has been pointed out already), Omega is doing something new here with a direct online sale, and the response has perhaps been greater than they anticipated.

    Of course, one could just as well argue that the sheer popularity of this offering is exactly why they wouldn't issue more of them. Just thinking out loud.

    There won't be an additional production run or an increase in numbers, the initial limit never changes. Numbered editions such as the Moon to Mars and FOIS are different in that they're open ended but these won't be.

    Now to go and kick this sore throat. And eventually change my avatar to something other than DayQuil.

    Glad Omega finally took down the reservation link and out this wait list link up instead. I really was tired of refreshing. :)
