Bit of good news, I just reserved one by refreshing a couple of times (11:30 GMT).

I'm guessing a few people didn't confirm within 24 hours. Get involved if you missed out!!!
Told you so mate 😀. There'll be more that fall out of that 24 hour window over the next 4-6 hours in particular so keep trying. Congrats on getting yours!

Yep. Thanks for putting out there that there were likely to be some numbers re-released. I wouldn't have bothered trying today otherwise.

And for anyone that doesn't get one over the next 4-6 hours (it could be longer than that they'll slowly pop up one at a time over this period and could go for 8 hours or more) there will undoubtably still be more chances when payment is due so don't worry too much if you're not one of the lucky ones at this point there will be more chances down the road.

Are we due out any more LE from Omega this year?
This has already been discussed elsewhere, but my take is that I find it highly unlikely that Omega will launch a second Speedy LE SS model at Basel 2017. As a possible homage to the Speedy 60th anniversary, my bet would either be on a Speedy precious metal LE or a Speedy 57 9300 upgraded with Metas certification (not a LE).

Just got 1871 after 2 hours of pounding that F5 button, now to go and bandage my refreshing finger!!!

Think I will pop my CK2998 on to celebrate

Obviously I am new here but I hope to start contributing regularly going forward, big Omega fan and my 2998 sits proudly at the heart of my modest collection

According to this post the watch was sold out in roundabout 4 hours ( sure we know it's not fully right )
Nevertheless i'm proud to have one 😎

Those of you commenting on the cost differentials need to remember a little thing we have here in the UK called Brexit. With today's depressed pound the watch is £300 cheaper in GBP than CHF but this is because they have maintained pricing from when the CK2998 was launched. At that point, the watch was priced broadly the same in USD, GBP CHF and in fact prices were historically a little higher in the UK due our 20% VAT (sales tax). I will be pleasantly surprised if they stick to the £4100 for the watch but they would have justification in marking it up at £5K or so when you compare the pre tax prices internationally. GBP may have strengthened by the summer of course, making the difference less marked.

I am sure it said it would be costing £4,100 when I reserved my model. I don't think they'll whack an extra few hundred pounds on that price when the summer arrives. If they wanted the price to fluctuate with the various currencies they would have quoted it in CHF at the reservation stage.

Unless I missed a 'subject to change' msg.
