Darn. I was too late to the game. Im sure some of these will appear in the after market. But will not fork over msrp. Did that once, but only for that to die for piece. If these were the reverse, white dial with black sub dials, then i might be tempted..
That already exists, see the Apollo 11 35th Anniversary LE & the Mitsukoshi LE, both are excellent pieces that have been around for over a decade. There may be more availability a day after the release time though and likely a good amount more when payment is due so don't lose hope yet.
Hey guys, we're trying our best to keep this thread on topic since the number of people following (with email notifications) is off the charts. There's a ton of members who appear to be waiting to see if more spots become available, etc. For this particular thread, your assistance in keeping things on track is greatly appreciated. Cheers
Have to say I frequently delete emails without reading them, including the "Omega Minute". Today around 12.30 uk time I was waiting to collect my nephew at Manchester Airport. Flight was delayed a little so I read the emails on my phone. I saw the Speedy Tuesday Omega email and read it. Ive been umming and arhing over a Speedy for a long time. I missed out on the Snoopy and didn't like the 2998 much (sic) Went for this and got #498 after trying to get a load of interesting numbers unsuccessfully......guess I've six months to save up. Happy days!
Man kinda interested in this piece as most Speedy's really dont appeal to me. Someone want to PM me what the MSRP on This was? Fun time to be a new member and watch amateure'
Price is 5,400 CHF pre-tax according to Fratello, Hodinkee quoted $6,500 USD which I'm guessing includes tax and I was quoted $7,825 AUD tax included which sounds about right for Australian dollars.
Does Omega charge the 8% to international buyers? I was very tempted but at CAD $ 7,400.00, a little too rich for my blood...
It looks like they're shipping most to customers via the local Omega boutique but in any case they will have to collect whatever local taxes apply in your area, I'd be almost certain it'll just be factored into the invoice you're sent rather than you being shipped a watch and having to pay customs and import duty on it at that point but this direct to customer approach is a new thing for Omega so we don't have any prior releases to go off yet.
As of today, the click button to reserve disappeared from the website all together. Im guessing they r not taking reservation anymore. It was still clickable yesterday, but with a message that rsvp is full.
Still shows up for me. You can bet I'll be refreshing at 3am when the first batch of invites would be expiring.
Robert-wonderful work! If I may be so bold, would you mind posting a pic with the speedmaster metal bracelet attached? Would love to see how that combo looks! Thanks
