Hi guys,
I finally decided to put up for sale my 1963 Ed White.
I bought the watch in 2017 on Ebay Germany without bezel. I found a matching DON for it and had it cleaned and serviced by my watchmaker.
It's not a safe queen as you can see but it has a nice overall look to it.
Worth mentioning is that it's a 1963 with a very early serial number, making it a fairly rare watch.

The case looks like the upper side has been buffed by an amateur watchmaker. The lugs look a bit too shiny but they are still super fat. If you look at the back side you will notice the case-back hasn't been buffed at all with the hippo still super sharp. Same goes for that fabulous double-bevel. You will not find many double bevel case-backs like this one. I am pretty confident that with all the specialist case-refubers there are right now, this case could become a little piece of art. Everything is still there, it will just need some attention. But I'll leave that to the buyer.
Right engravings in the case-back conform to the serial number.

Dial is not perfect with some paint loss between min 42 and 43 and a stain next to the metal Omega logo. Things that you will hardly see in real. Dial has turned in a sweet tropical brown color. An effect that is pretty sought after these days. Lume color of the M/H hands is lighter than the color of the indices. Under UV they glow as it should, glowing fades away rapidly.

Don bezel in a worn condition, matching well with the rest of the watch.
Correct flat feet crown. Pushers might be service pushers.

Movement has been serviced by my watchmaker and works absolutely perfect. Chrono as well.
I give a 12 month guarantee.
Serial: 20.526.xxx ( correct for a 1963 )

Given the rough condition of the watch, I think I am pricing the watch extremely sharp. The watch has a lot of potential ( image it with a mint DON and some work to the upper case! ) and it's a ref. 105.003-63, a ref that you will not find every day at this price. So I think it's a great opportunity for people that love a little project.

Price: head only: €9250 ( FedEx shipping included )
Payment: Paypal: +4% or Bank transfer

Best regards,
Bernard De Vos
