·Selling my Omega Speedmaster Professional 145.022-69 with DON bezel and on its original Omega 1039 bracelet with 516 end links, movement No. 28425XXX. Comes with an Omega Extract that shows a Jan. 22, 1970 production date and that the watch was delivered to the Netherlands Antilles.
I bought this watch a couple of years ago as an all-original “barn find,” and have worn it very sparingly. It’s a fabulous example, and only selling to fund a grail watch. Note that the photos in my hand are in outdoor lighting (cloudy) and the photos on the red background were natural indoor lighting.
DIAL/HANDS: Original and mint, with matching and fully intact original tritium that has turned to warm ivory. Under UV/blacklight, tritium lights up brightly and uniformly (see photo), but the glow quickly starts to fall off when light is removed, as it should.
CASE: Razor sharp and unpolished. Some wear marks here and there consistent with age, but in excellent overall condition. Case back has a couple of minor scratches, presumably tool marks, but otherwise very good.
1039 BRACELET/516 END LINKS: Some wear marks consistent with age, but still in excellent condition and with virtually no stretch. Clasp is stamped “ 3 69.” It fits my 7-inch wrist with two clasp holes to spare, so I’d estimate it would go up to a 7.5 inch wrist.
DON BEZEL: Overall in very good condition. Minor flaking in a couple of tiny spots. Note area around the last "T" in "Tachymetre" and the "250" mark.
861 MOVEMENT: Working perfectly and keeping excellent time. All chrono functions snap back crisply to zero as they should. (Last three digits of movement number intentionally blurred in photo). Original crown and pushers. Winding is super smooth. No known service history.
Asking $9900 (sale only), plus shipping from the New York City area. Bank wire much preferred, but I could accept Paypal if the buyer is verified and pays the fees. Return for full refund if not as described. I’d welcome a face-to-face deal if you’re in the NYC area. I’ve been buying/selling on the forums for two decades as “swish77.” Tons of glowing references available, mostly over on The Rolex Forum. Send me a PM or email [email protected]. Thanks for looking.
