·Offering for sale my Speedmaster 145.022-71.
This is a truly excellent example, hands down the best -71 I’ve ever seen. The dial is spectacular, a lovely deep black with beautiful lume, a wonderfully sharp case, perfect movement, and original 1039/516 bracelet. Given the engraving on the caseback, my guess is that this was a presentation watch that perhaps wasn’t to the taste of the owner and thus saw little wear, or alternatively was saved for special occasions.
I fully believe this was a factory original watch when I acquired it, very possibly never opened or serviced as it retained the red dot on the caseback. Every part was original, down to the crystal, pushers, crown and bracelet. It was fully serviced in March this year by STS where I had a new crystal and pushers installed, but the originals were returned and will be included with the watch.
