Hi, after 4 years waiting, I finally get the lovely snoopy. But yesterday when I first time winded it, the watch seems like strange. I winded the crown CW until the end, rebound happened, then I stopped. Until now, already 24h, I can still not wind it, rebound still there(full winding situation?) is this because full winding? And how long this full winding will keep? Or I have to contact service? I can sure I was really carefully winded it.
Thanks in advance!

50 hours is the guaranteed power reserve, I'm getting 60 plus out of my 3 3861s. You probably only need to wind it every couple of days.

Are you winding the watch until you hit the literal physical stopping point or until you just feel resistance? To me, when you say “rebound”, that is just resistance.

I think you were too careful, winding the 3861 is harder than a 1861 for example, just wind it till a hard stop.

I did it to the end, you feel the big spring resistance and crown hit back really quick, not like in the beginning.

Means there is even no spring hit back once really to the end?

That doesn’t sound like you hit a hard stop at the end of the spring. It sounds like you just wound it until you felt resistance.

Cool. I gave up for now and bought the white one and a FOIS. Wind the hell out of it, as I was told by others here. You'll know when it stops. From dead mine take about 120 twists.

Mine don't really have a "hard stop", but it will turn about a 1/4 turn then kick back. I'm getting 60 plus hours from all 3 now.

Don’t be afraid to wind it until you hit this physical stopping point. You won’t break it unless you genuinely force it past the stop.

Thanks for this info, makes me feel much better now. I thought really I just broke it, but if in this case, poor snoopy 😝

I also gave up since last year, I contact almost all the omega shop around the Germany and Swiss over the last four years. But seems like they just delivered lots of snoopy this November.

Waiting for Evitzee to chime in...
And here I am. Wind it until you can't wind it anymore, a full, hard stop. Don't rely on 'rebound', 'resistance' or any other indication, it is fully wound when you absolutely can't physically turn it anymore. You'll get at least 50 hours, and more likely 62 hours or so. Best practice is to wind it every day. If you wind it every two days you are bound to forget one day and end up with a dead watch in the middle of the day. That won't make Snoopy happy.

While we're on the subject of winding a watch, I always found that if you hold the crown with one of these. you can get a lot more leverage. Then you just turn the watch until you hear a loud snapping sound.

I wear my Snoopy maybe 5 out of 7 days each week and I’ll give it 20-24 turns without hitting the hard stop each morning.

I find it a less easy to wind compared to my Apollo8 Darkside. I don’t get as much rotation on the crown but don’t find any issues with it.

Wind it like you would wind one of these toys.
As you wind it there can be some recoil as there is more tension but there is a definite hard stop.
