That's a nice find! Looking forward to see the ready project. Do you have a specialist around to srevice it, clean etc? If he's an omega vintage specialist it could be good idea to contact him directly and ask about DON bezel for sale around (or even in his current supplies). Same with pushers.

I should be able to do the service myself. I did watchmaker training years ago for a hobby and am familiar with chronograph movements valjoux and omega 861 etc.

For the pushers, can any 086ST0059 suit like picture below? or are they different than the original ones from '69?

no box, only papers
also no bracelet
Would you mind sharing the papers? I’m very curious to see what original ultra man papers look like.

The papers do not specify the orange seconds hand or something else. Maybe at that time it wasn't so special yet 😀

You may want to reconsider this, considering the value of the watch in question. A verified Ultraman is worth north of $50K last time I checked. This requires part examination through a microscope etc to verify if there is any wear - in short you really do want the service done correctly, and by someone with an Omega parts account that can purchase any worn out parts to the movement. What part of the world are you in? There are various known excellent watchmakers world wide that specialize in servicing pieces like this and doing absolutely no harm. You don't want to accidentally ruin that orange chrono hand that is worth probably $20K on it's own.

wow, worth so much? I thought it would be 10-20k if I would service, replace pushers and bezel
Maybe I should rethink my strategy

+1 … hire a pro to get this done right. It’s had a tough life..upside is huge. No dial or case work just bezel, crystal and pushers.

The Orange Hand is worth 20.000 ? Dollar? Yen? Where did you get that figure from ?

Well, how much is a 145.012-67SP in the correct serial range worth without that correctly sized chrono hand? I'm not saying that the open market value to sell just the hand is $20K, but the premium attached to the watch as a whole with that correct hand is more than $20K last I checked.

Wow, what a watch, thanks for sharing. I actually love the patina and wear on the case and dial. If it was running I would throw it on vintage leather and wear it as it.

I dont think Ultraman Speedies are worth 50k anymore. I think about half that. Collector to collector without dealer premium …

Prices have changed considerably now.... Since the correct dimensions were published on the Net, that Hand is available from Vietnam. Under $ 800 and pretty well made. And that was to be expected in the free market.
