omega speedmaster - need some work

Hi,
I was able to purchase this speedmaster from 1969 145.012-67SP
It could be an Ultraman. I checked the reference number with some certificates online and from 1 certificate, it only was 150 difference.
I want to restore it but I'm not familiar with the DON bezels. Is it just 1 type of DON bezel or are there different ones depending on the age?
Crappy photo's by phone. I can take next week some better ones
Pushers are broken too. Hard to find these ones? Should I look for 086ST0059?
Thanks for advise!

Before you start spending more on this, movement and SN check are in order….

you mean send the whole watch to Omega for a certificate if it's a real ultraman? Do they do it even it's in this state or can they request they restore/service it? I looked it up and 800 Swiss Francs...

You can request a certificate with movement serial number and caseback info- and can upload a photo or 2 of movement/caseback inside and dial. Cost 120 CHF. First open up a "My Omega" account on Omega website I think it goes faster that way- not sure but just my opinion. Dont have to send in the watch!

On the positive side, the chrono hand looks correct and it has the ‘glossy’ black dial that’s claimed to be another feature of genuine Ultramans.

What is the serial? Is it in range?

And DON'T send it to Omega for restoration, particularly if it's something as valuable as an Ultraman. Omega will ruin it.

Wow, that's a nice project for sure! You can start a want to buy thread here for a ok condition Dot over 90 bezel for like under 1500USD. Pushers are easy to find. I'd send the watch to Lewis watch Co for a full service.

I love it. These are the kinds of projects I enjoy following! Remember...in sympathetic resto-projects "less is more". Do only what is necessary to get the thing wearable. They're only original once.

More photos would help, but at first glance, the dial appears to have the shiny finish often seen on the UM. What exactly is wrong with the pushers, they seem to be complete, maybe they can be repaired.

Great project! Please keep us up to date. Dial looks glossy and orange hand long enough. Keep fingers crossed for the extract.

Lewis Watch Co could also supply a replica DON bezel until a genuine one can be sourced.

It took a while but finaly got the extract (digital). Hard copy is finding its way. Confirmed it's an Ultraman. It was bought in '69 but aparantly build in '68 and still in it's original country 😀

Now I will start looking for this DON bezel. I've been searching on Ebay but you find a lot and it feels like a minefield.
For the pushers I find ref 086ST0059. These seem available. If you buy them from sealed package, are they still the same as the ones used originally or are these sealed ones aftermarkets?

Excellent. Did you have to supply a picture of the watch to get the extract?

yes, front, back, inside, and also the original certificate
So, are you saying this watch also came with box and papers?
