Omega speedmaster LCD quartz 1620 196 013.

I was given this watch by my wife back in 1978... It became damaged in 2005 & I have now decided to have refurbished.. I undersand that Omega has this service, I was wondering if any members have had any experience with that ? Secondly how did the final cost relate to the purchase price ? Not that that would dissuade me from proceeding.. I have attached a photo for imformation..
Any comments would be greatly appreciated..
