Omega Speedmaster Caseback

Good afternoon everyone. I am not a usual poster on Omega Forums. However, I have spent several years using these forums to educate myself on my favorite watch brand. I have also made a few purchases. Could the community give me input on this case back? I purchased a box of misc. watch parts from an estate. I have always wanted a vintage 321 Speedmaster, but it has never been in the budget. Thank you all for any input received.

It's from a 105.003-65 Speedmaster. It's a double beveled caseback that was the reference up to the 105.012-66.
The 105.003 is a straight lugs Speedy, same as the one worn by Ed White. Its nickname is thus "Ed White".

Guys, thank you for the quick response. I really enjoy watch parts. Maybe I will stumble upon a case, dial and movement in the future.

You’d likely be better off buying a complete one someday vs. piecing one together (unless you find the other parts at estate sales). If you were able to cobble one together you’d likely have a watch that’s worth more in parts than complete.

It is worth some coin though so maybe you could sell it or trade it for something you can wear?
