Why is OP posting a picture of the movement from another watch entirely? The shot with the movement has a SS bracelet, especially the thin pushers are a first sign of a different watch.

I think the title of the thread could better be changed to...

'OMEGA SPEEDMASTER MIS-MATCHED FRANKENSTEINED CHOP SHOP AUCTION FIND!!!'

How is it possible to order parts from Omega, by email?

No, the general public cannot just order parts like this from Omega. However, a watchmaker who has an Omega parts account can order and install them for you...

So what do you guys think, is it better to sell separate as parts?

Same caseback, look at the scratch running through the N of worn.

You guys missed the obvious. Dial is later then 1977. That’s not a -74 dial. I stopped looking at that.

When I see a mismatch, I stop there. Movement needs to be confirmed first, to understand where do we start from 😉

As others have noted, the serial is too late for a -74, as is the dial....

The first pictures were before I cleaned the caseback, the newer ones were after I cleaned it with the ultrasonic cleaner. Why would I change the parts on the picture I don't see how I would benefit from that?

Thank you for confirming that, it seems funny that they would think that I would replace the parts to try to trick them.

Sorry, my mistake truly.

I now assume you took this barnfind and cleaned it up, and posted these above pictures both before and after it was cleaned?

I think we where all looking for a barn find (dirty) watch, and to see it in two different “looks” got at least me off focus.

The pictures between the dirty and cleaned watch differed to that extent i didn’t see the telltale signs, as also lighting / reflections was different in the cleaned ones compared to the dirty shots.

Now looking at the pictures again i see the same scratches on the case and caseback between the dirty and cleaned one that previously got me thinking they where from two different watches. The scratch on the caseback was obvious, that i should not have missed.

This forum has seen its share of pictures from several watches stated to be from one and the same, next time i need to be more diligent before calling out.

Sorry for any harm i may have caused by my comments.

It's not a problem, I was just surprised to read that I might have changed some parts.

However, the fact that the before and after pictures may have tricked you and others into believing it is a different watch, is a compliment for me. When I got the watch it was really dirty, and after cleaning up it really looks like a different watch.

I would like to thank you all for your help in figuring out what watch this is. 😀

The parts put together may not be period correct, however they are all in a really good condition so I am happy for that! 😀

I sent the same pictures when I ordered the extract of archives, I guess it might be rejected because of the different parts. ::facepalm1:: Can Omega send an extract for just the movement?
