Box is pictured in the Hodinkee review, looks fantastic.

The caseback is very special too, the meterorite moon is a nice touch.

Seems like about half the people on this thread who say they like it, find it out of their budget. I wonder who Omega figured their buying market would be for this one?

I wonder how many put $5k at the OB only to find out it's a full gold model when they were expecting steel lol

The new 3861 movement looks nice, can't wait to see it standard on a steel Speedy

As somebody who is looking to get into Speedys, and therefore is still "developing" his taste and knowledge around them, I can appreciate the physical aesthetics but am having trouble digesting the gold. Maybe I need to take a Masterclass from James Stacey on how to get into gold watches 👍

Really beautiful. Out of my range, but gives me hope for a tasteful steel version 😉

I don't like yellow gold, but this LE looks nice, I especially enjoy the movement. But for 35k I would personally buy some vintage Speedys in Steel.

I think the watch is absolutely stunning, but this category is not for everyone. Me neither.

My question is: can we expect 3 Speedies in 2019 ?
This new YG Speedmaster has not the 321 caliber, the possible 50th anniversary Speedy (steel version) is also not expected to have the 321 caliber... So what ? Will we have a kind of 105.003 as well later in 2019 ?

The only negative for me, and a small one, is the "Au750" just above the middle of the dial which is entirely redundant because almost everybody can tell this is a gold watch. Those that can't won't know what Au and 750 signify anyway. I know my eye would always get drawn to it even though some angles and lighting conditions might make it nearly invisible.

Beautiful watch. Too expensive for me and I don't wear gold, but I like it anyway. Looking forward to the first pics of the SS version!

Nope but we can guess ... probably #SpeedyTuesday3 ... or 50 years Alaska Project Speedmaster ?
Fascinating times...
