Omega speedmaster 321 chrono hand

Dear friends,

I just bought a stated NOS 1963 chrono hand from Ebay with a very nice patina. After installed, I realize the hand is straight at the tip while my older hand is curved (which I beleive should be original to the watch). Is this straight hand aftermarket or there are two types of hands?

I believe I have read here that the chronograph seconds and the minute hands were produced straight, and formed into the curved shape upon installation. Interesting though, that the listing you bought from specifically called it a 1963 hand.

Generally speaking this would be correct. But also the lengths/proportions are slightly different...I can’t remember exactly.

Are you just referring to the tip being bent down? I think watchmakers bend the tip to clear the crystal.

I don't think it is bent manually. The straight chrono hand runs smoothly without scratching the crystal. If you check my photo, the minute hand also bent down. I don't think it is a hand job.

Yes, these are bent by the watchmaker at time of installation. Omega specifies that Speedmaster Pros with serial numbers under 50 million are to have both the minute and chronograph seconds hand bent. Those over that number are to be left straight.

Good day. I am basically chasing the same info. Al clarified the bend scenerio but I am chasing the correct hand for my 105.003 I have a purchased a couple off eBay. 1 for sure a device hand. Anyone have the detail on the length? Thanks in advance
