Hi everyone, long time lurker, first time poster. Lots of great info on here which has helped a lot with my vintage purchases over the years.

I’m here to ask a question about a Speedmaster belonging to a friend of mine. It appears to be a 145.022-69 straight writing but it has a red chrono hand. He’s a retired watchmaker and can’t remember exactly when he bought it as he just serviced it and put it away in his safe. I spotted it the other day when he showed me some photos of his extensive vintage collection. The photo was a bit blurry and I thought it was maybe an Ultraman but after seeing it in the metal it obviously isn't. The movement serial number is 32837499.

We are both wondering if this was how it left the factory or whether the red chrono hand is a later addition?

Thanks in advance for your help.

    No it’s a later addition.
